Drugs still a major headache

Tuesday, January 3, 2006

Officials in Barbados believe the island still has a long way to go in the fight against illegal drugs.
President of the National Committee for the Prevention of Alcoholism and Drug Dependency, Victor Roach has warned, despite increased awareness of its dangers marijuana use was increasing.
In a warning that marked the start of Drug Awareness Month, Roach reminded Barbadians drug dependency was a disease that impacted all sectors in the society.
He said despite the best efforts of the police force to fight the drug trade, marijuana is readily available. The police information suggests that some users as young as seven and eight years old.
He said it was high time for Barbados to establish a drug treatment court, which would be a marriage between the courts and the drug treatment facilities on the island

TO SensiBwoi @ Mtl, Canada
If I am not mistaken, I think up to 3 Grams of Mariguana is legalised for your own personal use in Jamaica, however if you smoke in public places(Hospitals, School) or arround childrens, you can be charged. I stand corrected if I am wrong.

CALM DOWN
Why must you all sound so harsh. No wonder why they charaterize "Marijuana' as a dangerous drugs with the other rest. You talk with so much puff. You know when a good draw is pull and it is released very slow and long; that's how your warth sounds. Smoke your weed; but still maintain your professional morals. Don't make they say that's all you're interesting in or DARE call you a "Ganja Head". Even though Marijuana is a" natrual herb, let them see/know that you are sane and can surely function without it. They're still not convince that it is a meditation supliment.

Fe Real
Ya man fe real!

Yuh cyan go so an blame everyting pon di herbs. What about serious drug like cocain, heroin, crack an all a dat?
It's not good when children are smoking, but for adults the use of ganja should be legalized world wide!
For example look at the Netherlands... it's working there and nobody say: Ganja is the beginning of drug adiction. Why not? Because they know better!

This fight yuh cyan win anyway.
More then 10% of all people smoke ganja.
Thats about 600 million people.
So, who gwan arrest them?

Legalize & don't fight against it.
