T'dad PM laments crime wave

Tuesday, January 3, 2006

Faced with a spiraling problem of murder and kidnappings, Trinidad and Tobago's Prime Minister, Patrick Manning, says curbing crime was his government's biggest challenge. He explained the elimination of poverty and under-development would be critical to its solution.
Trinidad and Tobago, the only significant oil and gas producer in the Caribbean Community, is among the richest member-state of Caricom.
But in recent years, Trinidad and Tobago has been plagued by a wave of murder and kidnappings for ransom.
Murders reached a record 389 last year, while there were 60 kidnappings - about double the number for the year before.
Trinidadians are concerned about a crime problem that seems similar in scope to Jamaica.

Trinidad
One way to help Trinidad is to Get Manning Out.
Secondly, get some good police that wouldn't rob you of your money and stop taking bribes.

Practice capitol punishment to the fullest. And put it on tv so the want to be crooks will see it too. Then maybe the crime wave will drop.

STOP ! THINK! LOVE!
It's a shame to hear/see the increasing percentage of crime rate. They can't make life yet they don't think twice before taking another man's life. It's wrong bottom line; but you'd think that it's only in Jamaica people kill people. Trinidad's crime rates are highlighted on this web site but not worldwide as much as how they emphasis on us Jamaicans.
