Hundreds of homes across Trinidad have suffered flood damage after two days of heavy rain.
Homes are under water and some roads are cut off in what some residents say are the area's worst rains in 40 years.
Massive relief efforts were under way early this week for hundreds of people who were dealing with raging flood waters in Mayaro.
Most of the village of about 700 homes, remained marooned.
Soldiers were helping to distribute food and water. Special military trucks were being used.
The Fire Service has also been deployed to pump water out of affected homes and other critical areas.

Who don't know about proper drainage? I guess trinidadian aren't as smart, developed and civilized as you think. You must learn to keep your mouth shut and show empathy and respect for others because every nation sufferes from tragedy from one time to another and it has nothing to do with how well something is done or not. when nature releases her fury no man is safe.

Replying to Mr. Lincoln
Lincoln you seems to be a nice guy. I can't wait for you to tell that we are Muzic media buddies. Sometimes we submit stupid comments, thats because we upset with what is going on and sometimes we even upset with each other opinions. Anyway where were you born? ............... do you know how to make your friend happy?............ I'm just suffering from curiosity.

Pray to the father
In the time of devestating disasters we should diffenelty come together and help one another regardless of religion, sex, gender. God is trying to tell us something, and we should diffenelty listen to what he is saying, because judgement will me soon be upon us.

respond to silly
hey in Trinidad there is rainy season so most places are susceptible to floods. plus not everyone has the money to move all across Trinidad. I was fortunate enough to live on a hill so we aren't the victims of floods.

MY OPINION
If I live in a area or country where flooding is common and severe; I would move. I've seen where beach front houses are washed away; and later the houses are build back and accpied. Until the problem is fix (if it can be fixed); then it is not safe. You don't have to wait for three/four flooding and hundreds of lives
