Politicians expect Monsterrat's chief minister John Osborne to call elections in March when he celebrates 40 years in elective politics. Two opposition parties are already gearing up for the poll. The Movement for Change and Prosperity is fielding a full slate of nine candidates. M-CAP, as the movement is being referred to, is led by opposition Member of parliament Roslyn Casell-Sealy. The other party, the Montserrat Democratic Party led by Dr Lowell Lewis who broke away from the government, has named four candidates. Both opposition parties agree, the sooner the election is called the better it is for the country.
