Trinidad is looking at reducing the age limit for foreign-used cars and compulsory car-pooling. These initiatives outlined by Transport Minister Colm Imbert is to address the country's increasing traffic woes.
Imbert said the Government is to reduce the age limit to from five to three years for the importation of roll-on roll-off vehicles. The Minister was speaking at the opening of the Diego Martin Highway Extension.
Imbert also said people with one person in their cars and trucks may be restricted from certain places.
