UN concerned about overcrowded prisons in Haiti

Monday, April 3, 2006

The UN mission in Haiti has expressed concern about overcrowding in the country's prisons. The majority of inmates have not been convicted and are being held in preventive detention.

Spokesman, David Wimhurst, is against the fact that of the over four thousand people imprisoned nationwide, only 450 are convicted.

He said Haitian authorities have been urged to address the problem but have taken no measures.

Well I heard that we sell the most diversity of goods and even the largest volume of drugs.Yet we are the poorest.

Prison struggle
From the time we "Black" people was free from the chains ,a false doctrine was imposed(forced) unto us .They tuned the black man against his brother and the system flooded the streets with drugs and guns and for man to survive his brother have to be his enemy. After they lock us up and say we are criminals. These prison wall were build to manipulate, break our spirit and keep we as black people from doing what we really want to do,But we must stand tall as the defender of human rights, equality and social justice for all and to break the chains of segregation, poverty, disease and famine. And only then can we black people can free ourselves from mental slavery and do for ourselves what no man has done for us.

KNOW THIS
Not only are we dealing with Mental Slavery, also Racism. Some People suffer from Mental inbalance.I believe that alot of people have either the devil in them (literally) or their head piece is really nu good. They (white men ) make it so impossible for us to free our Mental Slavery. We are too busy worrying about whose small Island is better than whose, while we stay battling our stupid war (rich /poor Island, Blacks and Coolie) the white men are battling the rest of the world to gain more wealth and power. We slave ourselves too; by not uniting with each other. We're from the Caribbean. They scorn us the same. When they talk, they say " Those damn Immigrants". From they hear our accent yu think they can acknowlege if you're Jamaican, Trinidadian, Guyanese, etc. We're classified the same .Don't you know that if you're not blond hair and blue eyes you're considered "BLACK". Three well knowed races White (Black, Hispanic).

Inprisonment of Black people
That has always been the stigma. Balck people locked up in prison for no reason. While they are acutal murders running around on the sreets. I just don't seem to get it. Why are there more blacks in prison compared to school. Is the system really out to get us. I don't know. But whatever it is it's something that needs to be looked into. Balck people wise up and avoid the mistakes that we have been doing for years. We are smart and capable of doing anything we set our minds to. But it's the mental slavery we need to get out of our minds to push foward. Avoid prison and read more and try to change the globe. Respect and Love out to all nation regardless of color.
