A new West Indies anthem is still widely unknown in the Caribbean, despite its recent official launch in Trinidad and Tobago. The launch came amid criticisms in parts of the region.
Disapproval continues to grow over the song, which composer Ernie Ross had hoped would unite Caribbean people. Many writers, poets, musicians and composers have added their voices to the calls for its rejection.
David Rudder's "Rally Round the West Indies", the unofficial anthem of West Indies cricket has for years resonated throughout the region.
