Cubas oldest man Benito Martinez Abrogan, has died. The 126 year old Martinez was the star attraction of Cuba's 120-Club, a group formed by Fidel Castro's personal physician Eugenio Selman to promote healthy lives for the elderly. Martinez attributed his good health to a healthy diet of fresh vegetables, some meat and only occasional consumption of alcohol. At the time of his death, Martinez wore no glasses and was also of sound hearing. A recent sudy shows that of Cubas 11.2 million inhabitants, 2,500 are over the age of 100, most of them female. The study attributed the country's high number of centenarians to a lifestyle that was easy on alcohol but high on sex, cigars and coffee.
