In Jamaica, two persons have been arrested for the murder of former world heavyweight champion Trevor Berbick. Twenty year old Harold Berbick, the nephew of the deceased boxer , and his eighteen year old accomplice Kenton Gordon were remanded in police custody in Jamaica after being charged with murdering the fighter. Officials believe, that Berbick was involved in a long standing dispute with family members and other members of the community.. Earlier this year, the deceased Berbick had been charged with assaulting Harold Berbicks mother. Subsequent to the boxers grisly death, she had been detained for questioning, but was released without being charged. Trevor Berbick achieved boxing fame by being the last man to fight Mohammad Ali, forcing the legend into retirement by this 1981 loss to the Jamaican. In 1986 Berbick lost his title, to a twenty year old, Mike Tyson.
