Grenada's Prime Minister Keith Mitchell has announced an inquiry into allegations surrounding a payment he is reported to have received from a German businessman. In Parliament last week, Mr. Mitchell said the Governor General would set up the commission.Dr Mitchell also said he has nothing to hide and those who believe they have evidence against him would have the opportunity to present it to the inquiry, but he said his defamation lawsuits will be pursued on a number of individuals including some members of parliament.
The allegation was first made in the Miami-based publication Offshore Alert, and has become a talking point in Grenada.
