The Prime Minister of Grenada Keith Mitchell has called on US authorities to release information on the whereabouts of the body of former Prime Minister Maurice Bishop. Bishop, was murdered along with several other cabinet ministers on October 19, 1983 after a coup ochestrated by radicals within his own government. It has been a widespread belief in Grenada since the gruesome attack that the US has been concealing knowledge of the location of the bodies of Bishop and the other victims. But the US Defense Dept has rejected all claims that it knows the locations of these bodies. Navy Commander Jeffrey Gordon says, that, the allegations are completely unfounded. However, an entire nation, including the mother of the slain Prime Minister believe otherwise and are urging anyone with information to come forward to facilitate arrangements for a proper burial.
