Tensions are up in Jamaica following the recent murders of an elderly man and a 36 year old rastafarian in the Glencoffe community of Kingston. According to accounts, Police got involved in an altercation with the Rastaman who reportedly uttered a derogatory mark as he passed the Police contingent. Witnesses say that an argument developed when Police noticed the man was in possession of marijuana. He was subsequently shot dead in the ensuing altercation. A 71 year old man who witnessed the incident, is said to have been voicing his concerns about the killing when he too was shot dead. The police were forced to flee the area after Residents set fire to a police car in protest of the murders. Two of the lawmen involved in the incident have since been removed from front line duties. Police in Kingston are urging all eye witnesses to come forward with information about the murders.

All Eye Witnesses come forward
All eye witnesses come forward-report to the execution line. if the two officers that killed the 71-year old eye witness was only taken off frontline and u have the stupidity of publishing that in the news report, what the hell makes u think that credible eye witnesses are going to come forward with what they know? even the police force is being ran by idiots! The whole Jamaican Government needs to be reformed!!

POLICE FORCE NEEDS A MAKE OVER.
Why would eye witnesses go to the police station? The police officers killed the eye witness that voiced his opinion. What ever happen to freedom of speech? The officers should have not been removed from front line duties; they should be DISMISSED. What kind of training does the Jamaican police fore receives? They obviously don't know how to de-escalate confrontations. I've studied to be an officer, I've thought about going back to my native land to work (Jamaica). The Jamaican society has no trust in police officers and it's because of incidents like this. I would not go the police to report this because of fear eve though I would like these officers to be prosecuted.
