After months of speculation about the dismal state of affairs between Guyanas President Bharrat Jagdeo and his wife Varshnie Jagdeo, the President has decided to come clean. Addressing a crowd of media reporters in Guyana, the President did not deny allegations that he tried to have his wife kicked out of the presidential box during the Cricket World Cup matches at the Guyana National Stadium. The President did, however, refute the claims that he fired the aide over the first lady, who at the time, did not comply with his demand. According to Jaghdeo, the First Lady and several unauthorized friends were in the presidential box, and the aide was tasked with ensuring security.
