Guyanas opposition leader, Robert Corbin, has been reelected to his post as leader of the PNC/R with no opposition from his party members. In a last minute change of heart, the two main challangers decided to back down from the runnings, claiming that there were more important issues to be addressed than to dispute who should actually run the party. Among these issues are, developing a thoroughaction plan for the political party, which recently suffered its worse defeat in a general election since its inception 50 years ago.
