Bob Marley's family is to sue Universal Music Group and US mobile phone firm Verizon Wireless in a row over ringtones featuring his music. The family claims the firms have used the late star's name, likeness and image without permission. However, Universal says it has not yet received any legal suit and dismissed the claims.
It said the ringtones offer was within the terms of a long-standing contract between Bob Marley and UMG. But Fifty Six Hope Road Music Ltd, which is owned by the Marley family, said it had not given permission for the tie-up between the two firms.
