The people of Trinidad and Tobago will go the polls on Monday November 5, 2007 to elect a new government, while nomination day is October 22. The country's prime minister and political leader of the Peoples' National Movement, Patrick Manning announced the date for general elections at its recent session of Parliament He is predicting victory at the polls for the PNM when the general elections are held. The PNM held a public political meeting in the St Augustine, Port of Spain east area, the first after the prime minister announced in Parliament that Monday November 5, will be the date for general elections
