In news from Grenada, Opposition Leader Tilman Thomas has dismissed published findings of a poll commissioned by Grenada's governing New National Party (NNP) as "classic Keith Mitchell propaganda." The opposing National Democratic Congress (NDC) stated that given the polls margin of error, the government commissioned analysis could not be trusted as real marker of public opinion. "The poll was commissioned against the backdrop of considerable doubt within the ranks of the NNP as to the suitability of Mitchell to lead the party into general elections, given his less than 'squeaky clean' image when it comes to honesty and integrity in public life. Thomas said. The Opposition leader insisted that the PM should stop trying to mislead the public and should call the election within 21 days in order to get a real reflection of his popularity in Grenada.
