Cost of Living on the rise in Jamaica: 30% increase in flour !
Monday, October 15, 2007
Jamaicas Minister of Industry. Commerce and Investment Karl Samuda has alerted Jamaicans to a pending 30% rise in the price of counter flour and a 2o% increase in the price of baking powder. The Minister explained that this increase stems from a dramatic increase of about 67 percent in the world price of wheat between January and September. The Minister also warned that the price increase for flour would also impact on the cost of baked products, animal feed and poultry within the next few weeks. The Minister encouraged flour suppliers to ensure that they sell all existing stock at the regular price before putting the price raise into effect.

Jamaica's 30% increase in flour
Karl Samuda along with the Jamaican government should be ashamed of themselves cuz that's just called being GREEDY. Flour and Baking Powder in the U.S is about 45 to about 67 dollars give or take in Jamaican Currency. Your buying flour not taking care of Karl Samuda and his Greedy partners household.

Cost of living
Whats happening to this world???
Jamaica (and africa alike) are the lands of spice and vegetation... I am told stories of how it use to be... grow your crops people, stop allowing your government to export all, give you none of the money and live in luxury at your expence to help the western world rape us some more... revert to what we all know is best and stop buying in to the western hype. This western economy is crumbling and they are living of the revenue thats being generated at your expence.... wise up....
