More tragedy in Haiti, deadly floods claim lives

Monday, October 15, 2007

47 people have been confirmed dead so far in yet another blow to Haitis already struggling community. Flood waters released by a recent onslaught of rain have caused mudslides and widespread devastation in the village of Cabaret, 19 miles north of the capital Port au prince. Officials estimate that over 20,000 people may be left homeless by these floods. Residents of the Cabaret community have complained that even with the presence of UN peacekeepers in their country, there has been very little assistance offered to them in the wake of this disaster.

That's sad
What is the point of the U.N being in Haiti when people are complaining of not receiving any help when in need. The U.N should be ashamed of themselves. That's just a waste of time sitting on thier butts not doing hardly much except for messing around with little haitian girls.

So Sorry
Me myself i am Haitian so i feeel really bad to hear that sort of tragedy. I have family living in Haiti but i was happy to know that they were not attacked by the flood. All of these people dead, including children is really sad for me to hear but i still hope that everything is going to get better.
