The caribbean was given preference to the sale of bananas to Britain, because they were former colonies of Britain. The U.S. companies went to South American countries, bought lands and represented themselves as South American farmers. They were accepted into the ACP and received permission from the Caribbean and African States to sell bananas to Britain. After this they took over the banana industry, and messed up others edonomies by changing the rules. We have become the most developed countries in the Caribbean that doesn't make us rich. Canada is prosperous nation but that doesn't mean it doesn't owe other countries money. And while I understand what you're saying about scientists having evidence of Black people being the "original" race but this still doesn't give you the right to call us the superior race. So I am someone who is clearly mixed but mostly with Black, does that mean that I'm somewhat inferior to someone else who is 100% black? There is no superior race, God did design it that way. And as for your comments about Trinidad and other countries hating on Jamaicans, I just have to point out that when Trinidad's Soca Warriors won over Bahrain to secure their place in World Cup 2006, the only negative comments I heard were from friends, acquaintances & relatives from Jamaica. "Jamaica already went to the World Cup, so what's the big deal?" I used to go to a church was I was the only Trinidad in Canada and I was and still am constantly reminded of how great Jamaica is and how it's the best country in the Caribbean and how everyone wants to be like Jamaicans. I could have easily had the same attitude like you and just decide not to associate with anyone from Jamaica but I didnt allow a few idiots to be my excuse to judge all Jamaicans. So don't be so quick to say that Jamaicans don't hate on other countries. Like I said before, everyone just needs to worry about the issues in their own country and that's all I have to say about the issue. For instance, in the 1940's and 1950's there were a group of Vincentians who formed a band called Norman Tex Williams Orchestra they made great contributions to Trinidad music. I've never heard Trinidadians make any mention of them in their music history. I think Jamaica has a lot of influence on Trinidadian music these days. Check out people like Bunji Garlin and Maximus Dan. They all sound like Bounty Killer.we should admit, that we learn from each other. Trust me this is something to stop and thing about just look around, and ask this question. Which race has overcome the most mental and physical hardships of slavery both in the cold, tropical and sub Saharan climates and which race has been more successful in talent (entertainment sports etc.), academic fields etc. (multi-tasking); after being restricted for more than 300 years? Most of the Whites, Indians and Chinese all died out when they were enslaved & or indentured from Christopher Columbus to Post Emancipation. They couldnt handle the harsh climate, hard work and werent resistant to the diseases. The reason for my saying that blacks are superior is obvious. Blacks are genetically and physically able to cope in any setting. Also I have been working with Human Genomic DNA and have found that DNA sequence from all other race seems to come from one common DNA sequence and that is from Black people. Trust me this is mind boggling but you guys can look it up online. If you attend school speak to a Geneticist they have uncovered a wealth of info on this. So this is where I am coming from when I say Blacks are superior, I know its hard to swallow because of the reputation blacks have in this world but for every creation their has to be an original. Yes I have on many occasions; I do have Trinidadian friends, had a mate from Trinidad and have lived with a wide cross section of Trinidadians from Blacks to Indians (Caribs and East Indians) to Chinese from all over Trinidad. The only ones I have not been in contact with that much are the Whites, some of my Trini friends told me that they separate themselves from the rest of the population. So I know some things about the culture, I admit that I dont know all Trinis and Im sure there are many good ones. That still doesnt change the fact that your culture is a racist and superficial one (almost everything is based on race, looks and the school you went to). Thats my opinion to each his own.
